How long have you worked at Astra Bridal?

I started with Astra Bridal in 2010 but my love of bridal came from work experience 6 years ago and I have been in bridal ever since.

What is your passion?

I really like to be creative and 'hands on', creating an individual look for every bride is a must and a fun process.

What is your area of expertise?

My area of expertise is fitting and altering the gowns to fit the bride perfectly.  I have a diploma in fashion design which taught me how to draft patterns and has given me a better understanding of fitting the female form.

What is your advice to brides?

It is never too early to start researching and looking at bridal gowns. Ring a couple of places you would like to go and find out how they work. Limit yourself to 2 or 3 Bridal stores with a good range to save confusing yourself. (One of them being Astra of coarse!) Keep an open mind, what you love the look of in pictures may not be what you'll love on you! Relax and enjoy the journey!

Tell us about a memorable moment at Astra Bridal

My most memorable moment would be a Mum of the bride came to the final fitting for her daughter and she hugged me as soon as she saw her in her gown. She hadn't seen it before and was so overwhelmed.
