I had the best experience with Brooke at the Newmarket branch. As a plus size girly I was so nervous to go dress shopping, but Brooke made me feel so comfortable and found me the dream dress. Despite the tight turn around they have been able to help me get my dress sorted, alongside custom Alterations to make it perfect. On my second try on I had Brooke and Ilyse both supporting and they are absolutely the dream team. Appreciate you both!!

I came into the store with my mum from Christchurch to find my dress. I had booked an appointment and had Rosie as my stylist. I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience! I arrived a bit early, but they were more than happy to let us in straight away. We were immediately seated in our room and offered a drink. Rosie introduced herself—she had such a bright and bubbly personality, which made me feel very comfortable! I shared which styles I was interested in, and she showed me similar options as well as a few she thought would suit me and my outdoor wedding. All the dresses were beautiful, amazing quality, and reasonably priced. The dress I ended up choosing was actually one Rosie had picked out! I was able to take the dress home that day and even got to meet the designer, which was so cool! Everyone was so accommodating and genuine. I can’t thank Rosie enough for being so patient and for making my bridal experience so special. I will highly recommend this store to future brides (:

Rosie at Astra Bridal Newmarket is an absolute gem! She was extremely professional, had a stellar eye for detail, and still managed to be so calm and kind during the session. It honestly felt like I had a trusted friend in the room who completely understood my tastes :) I still can’t believe it, but I said yes to the dress on just my second day—and at only the second store! So efficient, really reasonably priced, and the store has a great collection of pieces. I’d definitely recommend it!

I had my first dress shopping experience with Chanelle at Astra Bridal Hamilton and was accompanied by my mum and good friend. I was feeling super nervous about the consultation, but the moment we walked through the door, we were met with big smiles and a very welcoming atmosphere. Chanelle was so lovely, accommodating, and attentive, which ultimately led to me finding the perfect dress! We absolutely loved the experience and will be recommending these ladies to everyone I can. My partner and I had the best experience with Kryslin and Lisa. They helped us choose our dream dresses and made us feel absolutely beautiful. Their expertise truly showed—they listened to what we wanted and brought our ideas to life. We would absolutely recommend Astra to anyone, not only for their kindness but also for the stunning studio! Very LGBTQ+ friendly too :)

Kryslin was amazing at helping me pick out my dress. She made my mum and I feel so welcome and comfortable throughout the whole appointment, and we loved having her as our stylist! Just a couple of minutes after meeting her, she was able to go through my dress wishlist and pick out the one she thought would be my favourite. This was the first dress I tried on, and I loved it! After trying on a few other dresses, we went back to the first one and ended up buying it that same day. We went from just going in to try on dresses to get an idea of styles, to buying the very first dress I ever tried on — all thanks to Kryslin. Kryslin and the rest of the team at Astra Bridal have been so helpful, and I can’t wait to get my dress and wear it on our big day!

Chanelle and the team were amazing. There was a fantastic selection of plus-size gowns to choose from, and I felt very well looked after. Such a good experience.

I recently purchased a dress from Astra Bridal and had an appointment with Kryslin. She was amazing! After just a brief conversation, she knew exactly what I was looking for and picked out some stunning dresses. Ultimately, I chose a dress that she had brought in from another store for me to try. She was absolutely brilliant and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. All the staff were so welcoming and lovely, and they have kept me updated throughout the entire process of having the dress made to order.

This was by far the best bridal try-on experience I had. The hospitality and the ladies were amazing. I had Lara, and as a nervous first-time bride, she made me feel extremely comfortable and heard. I am so excited for my dress to arrive. Highly recommend this place! x
