I recently flew to Astra Bridal in Wellington to try on wedding dresses. When we arrived, we were greeted with mimosas and a couple of nibbles, an AMAZING start! We were able to look through the dresses, and then my stylist, Lisa, listened to my wants and don’t wants and gathered a bunch of dresses for me to try on.

Lisa was incredible and made the experience so special. There was no rush, and if it wasn’t for her expertise, I would have walked away with a dress that didn’t suit my body shape. Lisa definitely knows her stuff when it comes to this, and I’m so glad I made the trip because I found my dream dress!

I am 8 weeks postpartum, and I cannot thank Lisa enough for her kindness, patience, and encouragement during this exciting time in my life!

I had such an enjoyable time finding my wedding dress at Astra Bridal. Kryslin made me feel welcome as soon as I stepped through the door, and she had well-rounded knowledge of different styles of dresses. Their selection of dresses was perfect; there is enough choice without it being overwhelming. When I arrived, the dresses from my wishlist were waiting on a rack. I highly recommend picking out some wishlist dresses before you go!

I had such a wonderful experience at Astra Bridal North Shore. Sarah had only just joined the team, but you’d never have guessed it. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and instantly put me at ease. Her knowledge and professionalism shone through, and I felt completely supported and encouraged throughout — never once feeling pressured.

Thanks to Sarah, I found the perfect dress on just my third try! I couldn’t believe how quick and enjoyable the whole process was. With her help, we also paired it with the most beautiful veil.

Lara made the whole experience so awesome. The idea of wedding dress shopping was overwhelming, but Lara broke the whole process down and helped me find a style I absolutely loved. I said yes to the dress, and it wouldn’t have been so easy without Lara’s help, advice, and expertise!

The best bridal experience I had! Lovely Rosie looked after me, and every step of the way I felt cared for and valued as a bride, whether I purchased a dress or not. She was very knowledgeable and listened to everything I wanted in a dress, providing amazing assistance the whole way through. After purchasing my dress, they also allowed me to come back and try it on again for some family members, free of charge. The best range of dresses and team!!!!

Had a lovely time at Astra Bridal looking for my wedding dress. I received great support from the staff. Maisie did an amazing job helping me find my perfect dress. It was all such a breeze, which is exactly what you want. It wasn’t too overwhelming, and the space was perfect for myself and my bridal party to chill out with some bubbles. A very special day, thanks to the team!

I am so happy to have gotten Maisie for my dress consultation! She listened to exactly the style I was looking for, found great options for me, was very respectful, and made me feel very comfortable in the changing room with her. Ultimately, she found the perfect dress for me because I went back in a week later to place the order! I briefly had conversations with a few other people who work there, and everyone is just lovely.

Oh my GOODNESS. What an incredible experience!!! This was my very first time trying on wedding dresses, and after coming from a really awful experience at another store, I was feeling quite anxious. The moment we walked in, though, I was completely put at ease. The whole team was so friendly and welcoming, and Ilyese had our space set up beautifully. She explained the process clearly, the team brought us delicious mimosas, and the atmosphere instantly felt relaxed and special.

Ilyese’s knowledge of the gowns and her eye for what would suit me was amazing—so much so that the very first dress she chose ended up being the one! I truly cannot rave about her enough. She was professional, warm, and made me feel so special throughout the entire appointment.

I had a wonderful experience at Astra Bridal Wellington. I went into the experience very anxious about finding something I liked at short notice, and was looked after by Maisie, who was very attentive and helped me find my dream dress. Astra Bridal has a great selection of gowns and is able to accommodate quick turnarounds for type B brides! Thank you, Maisie and Astra Bridal.

Probably the only try-on experience you'll need, to be honest. The whole team is so welcoming, but Brooke specifically is amazing. It felt like I was chatting with a friend. The space itself felt elegant and feminine, but also super approachable, not catty or stuffy at all. Brooke knew exactly what I was after, but still picked out a few different styles because why not try a bit of everything? I ultimately ended up getting my dream dress here with basically zero stress. Pricing is also reasonable (for wedding things, lol).
