Bryony & Hoani
Boho Wedding at Te Puru
This gorgeous Coromandel wedding was so beautifully bohemian; a relaxed event embedded in natural surroundings. Simply stunning!
Bryony and Hoani chose an informal beach wedding at Te Puru beach to celebrate with their family and friends. We loved this bride's approach to her wedding! From the bouquets being made by foliage found outside the retreat, to a groom in shorts and jandals!
Bryony chose our stunning 'Marjorie' gown by Rebecca Ingram which was perfect in more ways than one. A gown that looks fabulous while also allowing the bride to breastfeed with ease at her wedding is an impressive gown indeed!
"I wanted a simple silhouette that wouldn't detract from our stunning background but would blend seamlessly with both the beach and the bush. Other than that, I didn't know exactly what I wanted until I met Ilyse at Astra Bridal Auckland. I explained to her our vision and that I would be breastfeeding at the wedding and this was one of the first dresses she pulled! She knew exactly what to choose. It made Hoani cry as soon as he saw it on me. She even found a matching veil!"
These amazing images are the work of the very talented Anthea Mason of Fantail Photography. We love how she captured the natural beauty of this gorgeous couple and their surroundings, not to mention how stunning our gown looked on Bryony! We feel so lucky to be able to display these images on our website.
"We wanted a relaxed, back to nature wedding, and we got exactly that.
We started the day with our friends at the Falls Retreat, way up in the Coromandel Ranges, then we had our ceremony in the afternoon on the beach that Hoani grew up playing on and barely missed the massive thunderstorm that rolled in on our reception that evening.
Ranginui blessed us as our family performed a Haka to the thunder and lightening outside."
