Shirley & Gary
Shirley and Gary met at work in the Tauranga Hospital, with Shirley being a nurse and Gary a physiotherapist, they had known each other for a few years before they started dating. Gary proposed while on a romantic walk along Papamoa beach, shortly before they went on holiday to Ireland to visit family.
Shirley wore the Kevyn by Sottero and Midgely, “I had screenshot a few gowns from the astra website before I made an appointment, the gown I chose I had looked at and loved it, but then closer to my visit to Astra I deleted the photo as I thought it may have had too much detail for me. During my time at astra I probably tried on about 12 gowns. The whole time myself and my 2 bridesmaids (who are thankfully very honest) kept a top 3 going. Once I tried on that gown I knew it would be the one. It just seemed so comfortable but looked so stunning on, especially once we tried the top 3 gowns with a veil and shoes etc. It was such an easy decision, and the team at astra made it such a fun experience. Wearing it on the day and looking back at photos I am still so in love with the dress, the shape of the gown, the high neck, and lace detail is all so beautiful”.
Even with lockdowns and boarder closures in the lead up to their wedding day, Shirley and Gary continued to stay positive and had the perfect day! With their wedding being live-streamed they were able to include everyone that couldn’t make it and they were able to celebrate their wedding day with those closest to them! Congratulations Shirley and Gary
