Alex and Hayden promised to spend the rest of their lives together in front of their loved ones at the stunning Willow’s Ranch. Photos from the day show the happy couple making the most of their celebration filled with fun, love, and joy.
Alex looked incredible in Maia by Forget Me Knot, a romantic scoop neck A-line dress featuring a bodice adorned with 3D florals and sequined floral and vine lace motifs that cascade into the voluminous tulle skirt. She made the gown her own by adding delicate spaghetti straps. Alex completed her bridal look with our cut edge veil, adding a timeless finishing touch.

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
I was completely in love with the intricate lace and detailing, but the “it” factor for me was the volume. I really wanted that perfect “puff” from the waist down, which I had struggled to find elsewhere. As soon as I saw the silhouette of this gown, I knew it was the one.
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
My experience at Astra Bridal was honestly such a relief. I had visited two other shops and was starting to feel the pressure, but the team at Astra was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I tried on quite a few dresses, and they made the whole process feel easy and completely stress-free.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
We actually met through a mutual friend at a rugby game! For the proposal, he took me completely by surprise. We were at the top of Mt Ruapehu when he popped the question. It was such a breathtaking and incredible moment that I’ll never forget.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Seeing my partner at the end of the aisle.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was a beautiful, sunny day. The atmosphere was a perfect mix of deep emotion and high energy. From the morning prep to the final dance, the whole day felt vibrant and full of life.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Don’t let the stress of “what-ifs” get to you. I spent so much time worrying about things going wrong, but when the morning of the wedding finally arrived, all of that vanished. You realise very quickly that you don’t even care about the minor hiccups because you’re so focused on your partner and the fact that you’re finally getting married.
