Breanna and Jono said "I do" at the stunning Abel Estate. The photos from their day capture the joy, love, and celebration they shared as they embraced each moment together. Their wedding was filled with laughter, happiness, and heartfelt memories.
Breanna looked absolutely beautiful in Nikki by Maggie Sottero, a crepe fit and flare gown featuring a romantic, swirled lace bodice, with delicate lace edging along the straps and back. The illusion scoop back and extended scalloped lace train created a truly showstopping look. Finished with pearl buttons, her gown was both timeless and elegant. To complete her bridal look, Breanna chose our pearl and diamante drop earrings, a perfect match for her dress that added just the right touch of sparkle.
We hope you enjoy scrolling through their beautiful day! x
What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
The lace and beading details were amazing, and I loved the train!
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
I went to 3-4 other bridal shops before going to Astra. I felt that the quality of the dresses and service at Astra was great. The last dress I tried on was the one!
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
We met at school at 15/16 years old. We have been together ever since. The proposal was a very, very long time coming, haha. Jono finally proposed in February 2023 at the Queenstown Gardens during a Waitangi weekend trip. The proposal was very sweet, and I had no clue it was happening.
What was your favourite part of the day?
It’s hard to pick one part! I would say walking down the aisle and dancing with family and friends at night.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
The weather was perfect, not too hot and with a little bit of breeze. The day was not stressful like I thought it might be. Getting ready was really fun, and I loved doing the reveal with my parents and bridesmaids. The ceremony was not too long and had a bit of humour. The reception was filled with funny speeches and good food!
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Take in every moment and just enjoy the day, because it goes by so fast!
