Brooke and Joseph celebrated their love surrounded by friends and family at the picturesque LaValla Estate. Their day was filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments, beautifully captured in photos that show the couple embracing every second of their special day.
Brooke looked stunning in Doritte by Maggie Sottero, a crepe fit and flare gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and lace detailed bodice. The pearl embellishments and exposed boning added an elegant touch, while 3D floral accents brought beautiful dimension to the gown. The detailing gently trickled down the skirt, creating shape and flow.
We hope you enjoy scrolling through their day and gain some insight from Brooke about her experience with us at Astra Bridal, and what it was like finding her perfect wedding dress.
What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
The dress I ended up choosing was not one that I had pre-picked! It was a dress that Rosie had chosen based on all the things I had given her in what I was looking for.
When I tried on my dress with the veil and the flowers, I just remember tearing up and feeling like the most beautiful woman! That’s how I knew I wanted that dress! Both my mum and mother-in-law had tears in their eyes, and I just knew it was made for me!

I had visited one bridal shop before visiting Astra Bridal! My experience with the first wasn’t very pleasant, but then coming to Astra Bridal made all the worry slip away.
I first met with Rosie via a Zoom meeting, and from the moment we started chatting, I felt so comfortable and listened to! She was so, so easy to get along with, and it felt like she truly listened to me and what I had told her I was looking for in a dress.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
Funnily enough, we actually met through Instagram 8 years ago! We started chatting, then we decided to meet up and we just got along like a house on fire! Two very different people, but very much the same person in a way!
Not long after, we made it official. Fast forward 6 years and we went for a holiday to the UK, and we had gone for a walk to the Lincoln Cathedral with our son on our way to our engagement party that I was obviously unaware of! Joe dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him in the rain, and of course I said yes! It was one of the most memorable days of my life.
Then fast forward another 18 months and we got married!
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle to Joe. All the emotions that I was feeling, nervous, happy, anxious, scared, just faded away the moment I saw him standing at the end of the aisle with both our children.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
My wedding day was everything I could’ve dreamed of and more! The weather was absolutely stunning, bright blue skies, hot sun, and not a cloud in sight. From the moment I woke up, to getting ready with my girls and doing a first look with my brother and my dad, to hopping into my wedding car and going for a drive, then getting ready to walk down the aisle, it couldn’t have gone any better, even if it tried!
Standing at the end of the aisle, waiting to walk down to my soon-to-be husband, was an unexplainable feeling. The love I had for him just kept growing with every step I took.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
My biggest piece of advice is really to just enjoy it and soak in every single moment. The day goes by so, so fast, and before you know it, the day is over! Also, don’t stress over the small things because, at the end of the day, they really just do not matter, and whatever went wrong just makes the day so much more special!
