Ruby and Aidan celebrated their love in front of friends and family, surrounded by stunning blue skies and lush greenery. Photos from the day show the couple having the time of their lives and embracing every single moment of their special day.
Ruby looked breathtaking in her Stella gown, a crepe fit and flare gown with a structured draped bodice. The draping flows into the skirt, creating a marvellous silhouette, and the gown is finished with covered buttons along the back and down to the end of the train, an elegant touch to complete the look.

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
In the end, I couldn’t get past my dress. My mum, sister, and best friend all knew it was the one. It fit me so perfectly, and I fell in love with the draping detail and the way the fabric felt on my body. It was so simple yet elegant, and I felt like it was very “me”.
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
I had been to one other store before making an appointment with Astra, where I tried on all of the styles and realised I wanted something strapless. I didn’t know exactly what I was after, but I loved how at Astra you could pick whatever was off the rack and try it on.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
Aidan and I knew each other from school days, but it wasn’t until later on that we connected. We both happened to be back home in Palmy after some time overseas. He asked me on a date, we went for a bush walk, and the rest is history!
The proposal involved a chocolate Labrador puppy on our back lawn with a tag that said, “Will you marry me, Ruby?” I had no idea about the puppy or the proposal, and it was the best surprise of my life :)
What was your favourite part of the day?
The ceremony. Neither of us could stop smiling, and it truly felt like the most magical, perfect moment that I never wanted to end.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
Waking up to clear blue skies, still air, and beautiful temperatures was the best start to the day. My bridesmaids, mum, and I did a yoga flow outside our Airbnb in the morning sun, which really set the tone and helped me stay present. I felt calm, centred, happy, and excited.
Getting ready was so much fun. We had a snacky breakfast, coffees, and lots of laughs. Driving to the ceremony with my dad in my uncle’s classic car was a highlight, and arriving at the garden where my husband and all our loved ones were waiting felt incredibly special.
The day blurred into a joyful, precious celebration. We moved into our shed-style reception filled with hydrangeas, which felt so “us” as a couple. After dinner, our beloved proposal pup Rafael joined us for sunset photos and we were having the best time.
It truly was the most perfect day. We didn’t want to go to sleep knowing it was over.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Relax and enjoy the important things. It is a celebration of love after all!
