With a devotion to fabrics, embellishments and silhouettes it was natural for Ilyese to complete a Fashion Design degree from AUT. This knowledge and then experience in the fashion industry made Ilyese a natural addition to the team in Auckland. She has progressed to lead the team and teach them all the knowledge she holds. Brides who have a booking with Ilyese will be lucky recipients of her expertise in garment construction combined with her knowledge of how a gown can be tailored for the perfect look.
It's been a couple of weeks since saying YES to the dress, and I still can't stop raving about my experience with the Astra team, specifically Ilyese!!! She was so amazing that instead of purchasing the dress I had originally picked from their site, I ended up going with a dress Ilyese had picked out for me. I took my mum and aunt with me, and they could not stop smiling at the dress she picked out.
100/100 for the service at Astra Bridal. Literally felt like I was picking out a dress with a group of my gal pals. It did not feel awkward at all. Highly recommend!!!

Ilyese was wonderful in helping me find my dress. From the moment I walked in, she told me, “We’ll find you your dream dress,” and everything else felt like a weight off my shoulders. She listened to what I wanted, made sure she understood my budget, and brought in pieces that were fabulous. I was stuck between dresses by the end, and she helped me finally say yes to the dress with so much patience and support. Also, I highly recommend Astra for my plus size girlies <3

Oh my GOODNESS. What an incredible experience!!! This was my very first time trying on wedding dresses, and after coming from a really awful experience at another store, I was feeling quite anxious. The moment we walked in, though, I was completely put at ease. The whole team was so friendly and welcoming, and Ilyese had our space set up beautifully. She explained the process clearly, the team brought us delicious mimosas, and the atmosphere instantly felt relaxed and special.
Ilyese’s knowledge of the gowns and her eye for what would suit me was amazing—so much so that the very first dress she chose ended up being the one! I truly cannot rave about her enough. She was professional, warm, and made me feel so special throughout the entire appointment.
Thank you for such a memorable experience and for helping me find my perfect dress—I am beyond excited! I couldn’t recommend this store more highly to any bride-to-be.
