Tina and Daniel promised to spend the rest of their lives together in front of their loved ones at The Church of the Good Shepherd. The photos from the day capture the couple beaming with joy, celebrating each moment surrounded by those dearest to them.
Tina looked absolutely beautiful in Sweet by Casablanca Bridal—a dreamy A-line gown adorned with whimsical floral lace that cascades from the bodice into a soft tulle skirt. The horsehair trim adds volume and a touch of fairytale elegance, while the satin sash belt beautifully accentuates the waist.

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
I loved the sash belt around it and the waterfall effect. The flowers were similar to what my mum had, and I wanted to pick something that reminded me of her, as she passed away in 2019.
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
My stylist was so amazing and helpful and made the whole experience amazing. I told her exactly what I wanted, and as soon as I put on Sweet by Casablanca Bridal, I knew it was the one. It reminded me of my mum’s wedding dress. I didn’t have many family members with me, so it was really nice to have a stylist who was supportive of my vision.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
Daniel and I met over 11 years ago, in 2013, at St Mary’s University in Twickenham, where we were both studying the same undergraduate course. We quickly became close friends, and a year later, at Winter Wonderland, we took the next step and became a couple. In 2022, during a hike in Lake Louise, Canada, with our two best friends by our side, Daniel surprised me by proposing. It was an unforgettable moment, made even more special when I later learned that he had asked my dad for my hand in marriage. In 2023, we made the big move to New Zealand, and we haven’t looked back since.
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Daniel’s face at the altar. It was so special to have all our family and friends come to New Zealand to celebrate with us, and seeing the vision I’d spent two years planning finally come to life was truly magical.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
The wedding day was absolutely incredible, everything was perfect. The sun was shining, I had my family by my side, and I was about to marry my best friend of 11 years. Getting ready was tough, though, as I had always imagined my mum zipping up my dress and standing beside me. But once I arrived at the ceremony and walked down the aisle with my dad, all the nerves and tears started to fade, and I felt nothing but pure joy knowing I was about to marry my best friend.
The reception was just as amazing. I planned every detail myself, and it was so rewarding to see my vision come to life. I knew exactly how I wanted everything to look, and it turned out to be the best day of our lives. The DJ added to the magic, creating an unforgettable atmosphere and even made us a special video, which made the day even more memorable.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Surround yourself with people who are genuinely happy for you, and make sure that you and your fiancé are the only ones making decisions about your big day. It’s your day, so don’t let anyone else take that away from you.
