Alex and Matt met about six years ago on Tinder, after filtering through some terrible pick up lines Matt asked Alex out on a date - they hit it off straight away. In 2018 after some wise words from Matt’s late grandma, he organised a picnic at Bastion Point, Mission Bay with all of Alex's favourite food and planned to propose at sunset.
Alex wore the Della by Maggie Sottero, “I walked into Astra Bridal not really knowing what I wanted. All I had was my sparkly full glitter shoes that I knew I wanted to wear on the day. Ilyese pulled 3-4 dresses to start me off. The very first dress I tried on was called Della, and after that nothing could top her! It contoured and flared at the perfect places and it had little sparkly beads, that shimmered to match the shoes! It had gorgeous thick lace but nothing too over powering. The back lace was gorgeous and the name “Della” was my sisters nickname when she was little. It seemed too perfect to be real! When it came to the veil Ilyese knew exactly what to do. The shimmery ivory veil! It was literally perfect!”
It was the perfect summers day for Alex and Matt. For the boys, the day started off with clay bird shooting and beers - while the girls got ready with plenty of time to spare to play cards and relax before the ceremony took place. The day was beautiful with sunset photos, speeches, dinner and dancing to finish off an amazing day! Congratulations Alex and Matt
