Kaila & Jaycob said "I Do" in an intimate outdoor ceremony, surrounded by nature, at a family property in Maramarua, Waikato.
Kaila wore the elegant Adrianna dress by Maggie Sottero, a V-neck fit and flare made of dreamy Tripoli crepe and lined with stretch jersey lining. Gorgeous beaded lace motifs adorn the bodice to effortlessly accentuate the figure and add that touch of romantic detail. She chose one of our stunning scattered pearl veils (1-901-CT-P) to match the detail on her dress and we love some of the shots of the veil flowing in the breeze!
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
Jaycob and I met through mutual friends 7 years ago. We were living in a flat together and began dating soon after meeting. We then moved into our own home and began our lives together. Jaycob proposed on our 5 year anniversary while we were away in Whangamata.
What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
The dress I chose was not one of my original choices! I thought I wanted an A-line lace dress but soon after trying on the Adrianna I fell in love with the way it hugged my body. I knew I wanted some detailing on my dress and the pearls were elegant and timeless. I felt so beautiful in my gown once I put it on I knew it was the one!
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
Our wedding day was everything we wanted and could imagine, getting married on family land felt so special to us and really set the tone for the entire day. It was a beautiful day and we were so thankful everything turned out the way it did!
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part was arriving at the venue and finally walking down the aisle and seeing Jaycob standing at the other end.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
My biggest piece of advice would be to do what makes you and your husband happy! At the end of the day your wedding is about the love you share and how important it is to both of you.
