Featured on this blog post is Rose & Bradley's spring Waikato wedding. So many gorgeous photos to look at!

Rose wore the romantic Julia dress by Forget Me Knot, it's silhouette is so classic and neckline so elegant. The bodice is adorned with delicate Chantilly lace, which Rose customised to have the eyelash lace removed on the bustline and also opted to line the bodice. We adore the fullness of the tulle ballgown skirt which is perfect for twirling the night away!

Enjoy scrolling through images of their day and seeing the stunning Julia dress in action!

The first time I tried on was with my sisters, mum, and mother in law. I like my dress, it was the first one I tried on and it fit like a glove. There were pretty details but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted so I tried on multiple others, then that one again at the end. I definitely liked it the best but still wasn’t quite what I was after. Dee helped me and was amazing, I went back after trying on some at another vendor. I decided with my mother in law and mum that it was the one if I could make changes to it which Dee was so good in helping me organise all of that.

Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.

We met at a Bible study in June 2020 and chatted every week for 3-4 months. We started dating, had dinner dates, beach walks, road trips, and adventuring together. Then in April 2022 we got engaged after horse back riding on his cousins farm and it was a big surprise.

What was your favourite part of the day?

My favourite part of the day was getting our portraits on the farm in different places .

Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.

We originally had forecast for thunder storms, it had been raining the week prior and so we ended up getting a marquee incase it was raining on the day. Luckily, it turned out overcast and sunny.

Getting ready with my girls was great, very chill and we had snacks. My sister and her kids were staying so they were running around. Putting my dress on with my mum and grandma was very special. Mum got into her wedding dress too for us to have a photo together. I really enjoyed doing a dress reveal with my bridesmaids and sister.

The ceremony was perfect. We had my father read a passage in the Bible that we had chosen for our celebrant to talk on and a mentor prayed over us. Our signing of the register was in the paddock behind the lawn, and getting there was a little tricky in my dress but it was fun to walk out there and back. We then had our reception (which was kind of a late lunch afternoon tea), and we had made our tables out of pallets and crates, which our grazing palettes, cake tiers, and drink dispensers were put on. We also had a pizza truck! Thankfully we had the marquee as the afternoon turned out very sunny and warm. The afternoon closed with us saying good bye and leaving on the fathers & brothers old style jeeps over the farm to take our bridal party photos and portraits. Our evening concluded with some sunset photos. All in all was amazing and reasonably relaxing day was tired but had a blast.

Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?

Be organised and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Breathe if something isn’t working, you have people around you who just want your day to go as best as it can. Also just be chill and go with the flow.
