I had an amazing experience at Astra Bridal Newmarket. Brooke was extremely kind and experienced. She knew what would look good on my body type and even allowed me to come in for retrials when I needed. I would highly recommend them for your wedding dress shopping. The staff are lovely and incredibly helpful.

The Style & Design appointment we had over Zoom a couple of weeks before going in store was so helpful. I was able to share a list of dresses I was interested in trying on and explained what styles I disliked. On the day of my stylist appointment, Joannah already had dresses ready for me to try on, most from the list I gave her and some wild cards she had picked out.

I can truly say I would not have found my dream dress if it wasn’t for her out of the box thinking. I was a bit unsure about what I envisioned for my dress yet very adamant on what I didn’t want, but Joannah encouraged me to stay open minded and I am so glad she did. Never did I imagine I would pick a full lace wedding gown, but it was genuinely the only dress that actually made me feel like a bride.

I also loved having the option of customising the dress by making the train shorter and the sleeves detachable. The entire process felt personal and unhurried, and Joannah’s expertise really shone through. She listened to my concerns and preferences while also gently pushing me outside my comfort zone in the best possible way.

I cannot wait to wear my dream dress on my wedding day, and I’ll always be grateful for the amazing experience I had finding it :)

I had an amazing experience shopping for my wedding dress at Astra Bridal Newmarket. I am curvy (18–20) and was self-conscious that I wouldn’t look good in anything. It was my first time trying on dresses, and every single one made me feel beautiful, EVEN the wildcard!!

I had the most warm, kind, skilled, and beautiful stylist, Brooke, helping me. She was so knowledgeable about all the dresses and what would look good and match what I said I wanted in a dress. She also made me feel so confident and comfortable. The whole experience was an absolute breeze. She even got an extra fan into the room for me as it was a hot day and I run hot!

She was my ultimate hype girl and was not pushy about selling anything. She just wanted me to feel good and have the best time. Honestly, 1000/10 recommend. The other girls working in the store were so sweet too, and when I came out they were complimenting me and were so, so kind!

I said yes to the dress and cannot wait to come back when it’s time to collect my dress!

Loved my experience with the ladies at Astra Bridal. Right from the get-go, my sister and I were welcomed with open arms and had the option to pick from the rack and start trying on. Rochelle was great at speaking about the garments and telling me what other options I could have with linings, sleeves, etc. She was also very gentle with her own opinions and really listened to what I wanted and liked in each garment, helping me find the perfect dress!

She knew exactly how to guide me, offered honest advice, and somehow managed to find a dress that felt perfect in every way.

I never once felt rushed or pressured — only supported and celebrated. It was such a beautiful, memorable experience, and I left feeling confident, excited, and completely in love with my dress.

I had an amazing experience with Lara. She was incredibly patient with my indecisiveness and the countless comments from my mom and sister. I ended up loving two dresses and couldn’t decide between them. She had the brilliant suggestion of going semi-custom by incorporating both dresses into one. I’m in love, and it’s all thanks to Lara and her team. I can’t wait to wear my dress next year!

Wow wow wow!! That’s all I can say about the experience I had at Astra Bridal Wellington. I took my two sisters with me and this was the first bridal shop we went to. We had plans to see more that week as well. The Astra Bridal receptionist/assistant had brought over bubbles and nibbles for my guests to enjoy, which was lovely!

I had an appointment with the lovely Kryslin who ushered us to where I would be trying on dresses. We talked about my wedding day, what look I was envisioning, what patterns, length, fabrics I was drawn to. We went through the different dresses and I picked out what I thought would look good on me. I was desperately trying to avoid the more tight fitting dresses because I wasn’t feeling the most confident that day.

Kryslin listened, she gave her opinions, she mentioned what was in trend, what looks the different designers did and what she thought would suit me. I picked my choices and then Kryslin decided to pick two dresses she suggested I try on. I panicked because they were both more on the figure hugging side. I tried my choices first, I liked them but my sisters and I weren’t blown away.

Towards the end, it was only Kryslin’s choices left. I was so nervous to try them on. But wow!! Now I know why she’s the specialist and not me haha. My sisters and I instantly fell in love with the dress, it hugged in all the right places. It felt luxe and I felt so beautiful. I said YES to the dress that same day. Kryslin was an absolute gem!! She listened, was patient and made me feel super confident on the day. I can’t thank her enough, she’s an asset to Astra Bridal. Your entire team are a delight to deal with <3

Had a great experience at Astra Bridal picking my wedding dress! Lisa was amazing, and I had an idea of what I wanted, but I ended up picking a dress I fell in love with that she got me to try on. They have a lot of knowledge about the different gowns and are so good with recommendations.

The whole experience was super pleasant, and I was able to bring my close friends along to experience it with me! Mimosas and snacks were provided, which is also a plus. I was able to try the beautiful veils on with the dress to see the different looks too.

They were also able to provide recommendations for different tailors and dry cleaners. All in all, thank you so much! I said yes to the dress at Astra Bridal :)
